text-me.biz
Text-me.biz came in the wake of poem-me.com
which provided a short daily poem to subscribers, via email or
mobile phone. The idea of poem-me was to provide people with a
'poetic interlude in their day', with Fredrik Lloyd writing the
poems. The launch of poem-me proved very successful gaining coverage
from BBC Online, Time Magazine, The Guardian and The Independent
for example. Before being replaced by text-me, poem-me.com had
over 32,000 hits, with many people subscribing to the service,
often using it to send gift texts to friends and family.
Text-me was launched in 2003, taking poem-me
under it's umbrella, together with five other services. Media
interest is growing, with coverage in national and local press
(see BBC Online). As part of the text-me.biz
team we provided the html coding and conversion of the design
for the front end of the site, together with contributions to
the development of the information architecture for the site.
text-me.biz was offering a range of six services,
luv-me (love poems by Fredrik Lloyd), poem-me (poems by Fredrik
Lloyd), shake-me (Shakespeare quotes), riddle-me (riddles written
by Emmanuel Williams, believe-me (superstitions)
